July 15, 2012 Zappolo's People Chris and I were on Ron's show and it aired Sunday evening. If you didn't get to see the show, please take a look at it via this online link: Zappolo's People, KDVR FOX31 Denver, July 15, 2012: http://kdvr.com/2012/07/16/zappolos-people-dr-jon-kedrowski-and-chris-tomer Promoting the Book Sleeping on the Summits, and talking about Mt. Everest I have heard from many people who followed my Everest Expedition and who are becoming fans of my new book Sleeping on the Summits: Colorado 14er High Bivys. Some people have said they miss reading my blogs.......so I've decided to bring them back. In the Coming weeks I will be visiting some of my favorite peaks in Colorado and I am looking forward to sharing them with you again, so stay tuned. Over this past weekend, Saturday the 14th of July, Chris and I went for a climb of Mt. Powell, the highest Peak in the Gore Range (13,680'/4200m). What is incredible about the Gore is that you don't see any people on the peaks. Mt. Powell is challenging to climb because it is off the beaten path and is isolated in the western part of the Gore. I've attached a few photos here, we dodged storms throughout the day that were pounding the other 14er ranges in the state, but made for stunning backdrops.Look for more peaks from me in the coming days, and check out the Denver Post on Tuesday the 17th of July for an Article about Sleeping on the Summits! |
