Big news and just a bump on the road.  The airlines overbooked our flight and made one of our members not have a boarding pass.  Instead of leaving a client behind, I sent the entire group forward and they will have arrived by now to the airport as usual.   I will be leaving  from Addis Ababa Ethiopia at 2240 on flight arriving sometime very late to JRO. about 130 or.  I hope that Dunstan, our local leader in tanzania has picked up the members at JRO who I sent on the last flight this morning.

It was an interesting scene at the airport as it's tourist season and everyone seems to be fighting for the flights to Moshi this time of year. What was really bizzarre is that all of our team members had confirmed boarding passes yet they bumped Hendrik and Anne Marie off the flight.
Well, I wasnt about to let two of my members stay behind here so I gave up my flight seat to Hendrik and they found 1 more seat for Anne marie.
After sending the group ahead In the morning I decided to make the most of the situation and took a small tour of the city en route to a hotel the airlines put me into to get some rest and a couple of meals. (It took two hours to get a new boarding pass for tonight, flight and accommodations compensated.)
Nevertheless, Dunstan reports that the team is all arrived to Tanzania and that we are still on schedule to begin our hike up Kilimanjaro tomorrow morning (Sunday).  Now i just need to get there and track down my Duffel!
I'll just be a bit tired from yet another red -eye, but things could be worse... The great ones adjust and I'm looking forward to getting there and getting started!

Chris Tomer here, A little note on the trip itinerary.
Once in Tanzania, the Team will drive to Machame Village and walk to the Machame camp.
June 23rd is slated as a full hike day of 5 hours.  The Team will hike steep rock ridges through Heather reaching Shira camp for the night.
More to come!
